On May 16, a video conference on the promotion of major projects in Chengdu was held, conveying the spirit of the national and provincial work video conferences of "implementing major national strategies and building up security capacity in key areas". The latest progress on project investment promotion and major project attraction in the city was reported, and the next key work was arranged and deployed. Wang Fengchao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee and Mayor, presided over the conference and delivered a speech. Before the conference, Mayor Wang Fengchao led a team to visit the site of the Phase V Project of Tongwei (Chengdu) Solar Co., Ltd. and was warmly received by Liu Hanyuan, Deputy to the NPC, Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tongwei Group.

At the site, Mayor Wang inspected the latest progress of the Project, inquired carefully about the progress of various works, and had a field exchange with Chairman Liu Hanyuan regarding the Project's construction progress and essential safeguards.

At present, TW Solar has projects in Anhui, Shuangliu, Meishan, Jintang, Tonghe Project, and Pengshan cell production bases, with an annual capacity of 95GW, becoming the world's largest solar cell manufacturer with the largest scale of production capacity and shipment volume and the strongest profitability for seven consecutive years. In the future, after the completion of the Phase V Project, TW Solar's production capacity and efficiency will be further improved, strongly boosting Chengdu to build a hundred billion-level PV industrial cluster, and actively contributing Tongwei's strength to the realization of China's carbon neutrality goal.
