According to the report, Chengdu, Sichuan Province has continuously increased its support for manufacturing, promoting the transformation and upgrading of enterprises in the industry. In the workshops of TW Solar (Jintang) Co., Ltd., 59 fully digital production lines work efficiently, intelligent vehicles shuttle back and forth, and mechanical arms grab parts orderly, forming a fully automatic and intelligent production mode.

Zhou Hua, General Manager of TW Solar, said in the interview with the CCTV's reporter that Tongwei achieved digital base management and unmanned intelligent workshop manufacturing by adopting 5G + intelligent manufacturing solutions, and took the lead in realizing industrial digitization and intelligent production and management. When compared with conventional production lines with similar capacities, Tongwei's 5G intelligent production line has reduced labor by about 62%, lowered energy consumption by about 30%, and improved production efficiency by about 161%, reducing both energy consumption and production costs and improving efficiency.

By the end of 2023, Chengdu had recognized 35 municipal intelligent factories and 73 digital workshops, a year-on-year increase of 170% and 97% respectively. Chengdu has continuously strengthened the in-depth integration of technological and industrial innovations and accelerated digitization, informatization and intellectualization, boosting the high-quality development of new industrialization with new quality productive forces.
